Manufactured Home Tie-Down Standard
It is recommended that Manufactured Homes be installed on an engineered foundation with appropriate tie-downs for the climate zone of the area. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has set a standard for manufactured housing foundation installations. This standard is utilized to determine if a manufactured home qualifies for many loan programs, including FHA and VA home loans.
There are two significant requirements: Permanent Foundations and Tie-Downs
